British Gambling Commission and Paradise Bet License Suspension

The actions taken by the British Gambling Commission should most certainly give comfort to online gamblers around the world.  At least for those that gamble at online casinos under the licensing of the British Gambling Commission one can be assured that these online casino watchdogs are monitoring the gambling activities. A prime example of this is the latest move by the British Gambling Commission to suspend the license of the online casino Paradise Bet.

This all came about as a result of a three year investigation by the Italian authorities into various organized crime activities. It is believed that the operator of the Paradise Bet online casino had ties to this infamous criminal group.

Although the suspension at this point is not permanent it is pending an investigation by the British Gambling Commission into the sites activities. If the allegations prove to be true there is no doubt that the Commission will evoke their powers to permanently suspend the license under the 2005 Gambling Act.

It’s the responsible actions such as these taken by the British Gambling Commission that speak highly of online gaming safety. Perhaps the USA will take note that online gaming regulations can be put in place and acted upon accordingly. These actions are certainly most important at this particular time with all the unrest and uncertainties of online gambling.
